5 must visit places of Shimla

Shimla is one of the most sought after tourist locations for the amazing weather and the picturesque beauty of the snow-capped mountain ranges amidst valleys with pine and deodar grooves. The water falls slithering from the mountains and valleys, the clouds touching the hills with glory and the purest snow layers are sheer treat to watch. All though beauty is draped in the entire geography, there are few spectacular places that should not be missed by any tourists.
1. Summer hill: Summer hill is an aesthetically crafted township which is 5 KM away from the Shimla’s renowned ridge. Draped in soothing greenery, the hill has spectacular views from the top. It is one of the seven famous hills of Shimla appearing in enchanting beauty. One should not miss the breath taking sunrise if the visit is scheduled in summer months.

2. Annandale: One should not miss visiting Annandale as it is the most crucial places to visit in Shimla. Known for hosting adventure sports in the pre-independence phase, this is now venue for golf race courses. The green meadows meant for golfing are a visual treat to the viewers with their stellar manicured greenery. Open from morning to evening on all days, this serves the visit purpose.

3. Jakhoo hill:This hill is significantly regarded as the highest peak in Shimla with altitude of 8000 ft. The Jakhoo temple located on this hill is considered a heaven for the admirers of nature. The 108 feet fall Hanuman statue spreads spiritual aura in the vicinity making the temple a must visit for the pilgrims and is like a short trekking opportunity for adventure lovers. 4. The Himachal state museum and Library: It is located on Mount Pleasant and the verdant greenery and the finest British architecture makes it a soothing treat to eyes. The museum showcases the rich heritage of the state’s history and has beautiful handicrafts and sculptures, breath taking paintings and artefacts and many others. Most of the hotels in Shimla mall road arrange a trip to this museum and is open from morning to evening. The resorts of Naldehra are at an ideal distance to this place to stay at.



5. Chadwick falls: Known as one of the most tranquil places of Shimla, the music of waters is just heard here and is an ideal place for photography. The beautiful water fall is enticing to the core and they fall from an altitude of 1586 meters. The water falls are amidst the pine grooves and the deodar plantations and the foggy water whites of the waterfalls and the pine greens are enthralling scenarios. Many of the tourists stay in hotels of Naldehra to spend the maximum time of their visit at this place.
